On Sunday, October 6th, the Whiteside County Airport hosted aerobatics certifications for the Hoppers Squadron. Aircraft that flew over the skies over Whiteside County include a North American P-51 Mustang, Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star, Northrop F5 Tiger, and several Aero L-39 Albatros.
Aerobatic manuevers included loops and rolls, as well as high speed low altitude passes over the runway and “popping smoke.”
The Hoppers will be back in Spring 2020 for more certification flights.
