University of Illinois Extension and the Illinois State Board of Education entered into a grant partnership to provide required USDA professional standards trainings to Illinois school foodservice staff, called the ABCs of School Nutrition.
University of Illinois Extension is offering a school food service professional standards training Tuesday, July 30 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at Amboy High School. Amboy High School is located at 11 E Hawley St, Amboy, IL and Thursday, August 2 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at Eastland High School. Eastland High School is located at 500 S School Dr Lanark, IL.
This training will provide 6 hours of USDA Professional Standards continuing education credit for the 2018-2019 school year. Training topics include Saved by the Breakfast Bell, Positive communication, Quality Standards, Portioning Food, and Customer Service, Merchandizing, and Food Presentation.
