The Newman Comets have started the season out 2-0 with back-to-back blowout victories. The Comets dominated the Princeton Tigers in every facet of game. On defense allowed only 52 total yards and also scored a safety in the 3rd quarter. The Comets also scored on special teams with 75 yard punt return from junior Conner McBride. The offense churned out 295 rushing yards and 45 yards through the air for a total of 340 yards of offense. Luke Olsen did most of the damage as he gashed the Tigers defense for 142 yards on 12 carries. Olsen also added a 73 yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter to put the Comets up 24-0. Chase Graham added two touchdowns with 45 yards rushing and Brycen Bartel added a touchdown as well. The Comets will faceoff against the Orion Chargers September 8th with a chance to improve to 3-0.
