Sunshine Week is a national initiative spearheaded by the American Society of News Editors to educate the public about the importance of open government and the dangers of excessive and unnecessary secrecy. Sunshine Week lasts seven days, but it's up to all of us to keep the sun shining on government all year. Sunshine Week 2018 is held from March 11th though 18th. It is important to remind all public officials (Elected and otherwise) that they work for us and we have the right to transparency and information. This week we will discuss how you can file a Freedom of Information Act or FOIA to get
reports or information that public bodies may be withholding.
