The Rock Falls Chamber is launching the Home Based Business Collective. The group is a part of the Chamber’s new initiative to launch group format programs to meet the specialized and diverse needs of local businesses. The Home Based Business Collective Kick Off event launches Tuesday, January 23rd from 5:30-6:30pm at the Rock Falls Community Building. “Home based businesses make up a valuable, often overlooked portion of our community that ranges from creative crafters to unique entrepreneurs, from direct sales to service providers.” says Bethany Bland, Rock Falls Chamber President/CEO. “Not only do they provide unique products and services locally, but they often provide full time or supplemental income for the small business owners who operate the business. They are thriving locally and can benefit greatly from the extra support the Rock Falls Chamber can offer.” The Rock Falls Chamber Home Based Business Collective is a fun, discussion oriented group aimed at helping participants grow their business and marketing skills, socialization, and the exchange of ideas. Each group meeting will feature a different discussion topic, connections to people and resources, and lots of idea-inspiring conversation. The January 23rd kickoff event will focus on marketing ideas, vendor opportunities, and helpful tips for home based businesses. The Home Based Business Collective kick-off event on January 23rd is completely free and will be, held from 5:30-6:30pm in the Brant Room of the Rock Falls Community Building. It is open to anyone from any community and Chamber Membership is not required. Registration is requested by calling 815-625-4500, or e-mailing email@example.com.
